Este texto busca ser referente para otros estudios que en el futuro se realicen sobre el cine colombiano o sobre cinematografías con condiciones industriales similares, en el entendido de que conocer las representaciones audiovisuales de una nación puede ayudarnos mucho en el conocimiento de su realidad, pero la narrativa no puede desligarse del contexto de la producción. Cuando la relación entre la acción y la realidad es tan estrecha como en el cine colombiano, estudiar el cine es acercarse a la esencia de los acontecimientos y su impacto en el imaginario colectivo nacional.
