El Corán en versión directa del árabe, literal e íntegra. Traducción directa del árabe y notas de Rafael Cansinos Assens. Dice Rafael Cansinos Assens que "hay que ser poeta para sentir el Korán [El Corán]", pero además "hay que ser un arabista para sentirlo plenamente, leyéndolo en el original". Para el autor sevillano la traducción de El Korán [El Corán] es un imposible: "Es un fruto tan típico del genio árabe, y es tan personal entre las de su rama la lengua en que se plasmó, que resulta punto menos que imposible trasladar a otra lengua, y menos a una de la rama aria, sus bellezas de concepto y sus primores de estilo." Quizá por ello Cansinos Assens –uno de los grandes traductores del siglo XX– optó por hacer una traducción literal, que no literaria. Es esta una excepción en su larga trayectoria como intérprete, que rara vez busca la fidelidad a la letra (algo irrealizable entre lenguas diferentes), sino la interpretación literaria, huyendo, eso sí, del lenguaje periodístico tan frecuente entre los traductores españoles. Risk factors for chronic diseases differ between men and women.
